About Shop Books Guide

Shop Books Guide helps owners of very small shops in Africa choose a way to keep their records, on paper or on a phone. Most shops on the continent are run by one owner and maybe one helper, and most record-keeping apps are written for someone else: a restaurant, a big store, or an accountant.

The site is run from Uganda by people connected to the team that makes Sellka, one of the apps we compare. That is why How we review sets out the scoring method in full, and why every page that compares Sellka says so near the top.

Advertising may appear on the site. It never affects a place or a score: there are no affiliate links, and no app pays for a place or a score.

Corrections and suggestions are welcome on the contact page.
