What Zobaze POS is
Zobaze POS is the largest app here by reviews, with more than 1,000,000 downloads. It is a point of sale for shops, restaurants and cafes in many countries.
It scores 70 out of 100, number 6 of the seven apps we compared.
What it does well for a small shop
- Offline first: every bill is saved on the phone and syncs when you are back online.
- Stock that updates as you sell, low stock and expiry alerts, and items added with the barcode scanner.
- Customer credit (it calls it khata) for what customers owe.
- A daily sales record and more than 26 reports, and a cash register report to close the day.
- Separate logins for staff, each with their own permissions.
- No ads.
What to watch
- Its Data safety section declares that some data (app performance, approximate location, device IDs and app interactions) is shared with other companies, and that it collects your name, email address, address and phone number.
- It is built for restaurants, bars and many branches as well as shops, so there are more screens than a kiosk needs.
- Its listing does not describe a record of what you owe suppliers, or name languages.
- A premium plan adds more businesses, staff and advanced reports.
